The AMA is powered by volunteers

Our chapter is powered by volunteers. Volunteering with the AMA is one of the best ways to forge meaningful relationships with fellow marketers, meet new people, expand your skills and develop your craft. Whether you have an hour a month, five hours this year, or more – there are volunteer opportunities to meet your ability to give in terms of time and talent.

To learn more about volunteer opportunities, please contact our volunteer coordinator or program coordinators (listed below) directly.

Marketing Award of Excellence Committee

The AMA’s MAX team is coming together to identify the best local marketing of 2010 and celebrate these outstanding accomplishments. Joining this team provides you the change to:

- Hone your event management skills as you help with the planning and implementation of the event itself (one time event in February).

- Work with top marketing professionals as you facilitate communication with the judges.

If you’re interested in either of these positions, please contact Cris Schulz.

Community Outreach

The American Marketing Association (AMA) Community Outreach Program  pairs marketing expertise with community non-profits in an effort to positively impact their mission.   We are currently recruiting marketing strategists, graphic designers, PR experts, market researchers, advertising execs, and others to donate their marketing talent.

With this program you have the unique opportunity to,
-      Expand your mentoring and professional network while enhancing your portfolio

-      Develop your craft and explore your marketing potential

 -      Give back to your community

As a Volunteer in this program you will be asked to,
-      Work with your project team to identify strategy and scope

-      Work within  non-profits' limited budgets and resources

-      Work with your team in problem solving, professional collaboration , and creative marketing innovation

-     Be willing to contribute 5-10 hours per month
