Update Your Information

All AMA PDX memberships are managed by the national AMA organization. To ensure you continue to receive information and discounts to AMA PDX local events, it is important to that your membership status and contact information is correct with AMA national.

You need to update your membership information, if you have recently…

  • Changed jobs
  • Changed your name
  • Changed your email address
  • Transferred your membership to a different person within your organization

Please follow these steps with AMA national to make sure AMA PDX has your correct information:

How do I change my contact information?

If you’re a member of the AMA you can update your contact information or account profile two ways.

Online:

1. Go to https://www.ama.org/Pages/BecomeMember.aspx
2. Click on “Login”
3. Login
4. Click on “My Profile” which is in the same area as Login
5. Scroll down to the appropriate section and make your changes.

By Telephone:

Call AMA headquarters at 1-800-262-1150 and a representative will process your request.

How does my email address get to the local chapter?

1. Go to www.ama.org
2. Click on “Login”
3. Login
4. Click on “My Profile” which is in the same area as Login
5. Scroll down to “Contact Information” and click on “Edit.” Make sure the following box is checked“Include me in the AMA Member Directory.”
6. Scroll down to the phone section and make sure there is one number entered.
7. Scroll down below the phone section and make sure the following box is NOT checked, “Do not publish my contact information in any AMA Publications.”
8. Click “Save” Button
9. Scroll down to the “Login Information” section and make sure an email address is listed.
10. Scroll down to “Professional Information” and click on “Edit”
11. Scroll down to “Additional Information” and make sure the following box is NOT selected, “I do not want to receive email notification from AMA or my local chapter, other than e-newsletters I may select.”
